Together with my friends, the painter Susan Brearey and folk singer Tim Eriksen, we created a story with imagery on glass slides for magic lanterns in a house in the Pennines. As we walk along stone walls, into lakes, through wild grasses, Tim makes music on various instruments and sings ancient songs. Throughout the day we continue painting with vibrant transparent washes on the glass slides. In the evening, when it is completely dark outside, we set up the magic lanterns and project the glass slides onto a white sheet telling the story of our day.
